Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about pricing, groups, and how a quest actually works.
What is Quest24?
Quest24 is a self-guided puzzle game that takes place in city streets. You arrive at the starting point, open the quest on your phone, and set out on a route where you solve riddles, discover clues, and progress through a story.
Do I need to download an app?
No. The quest runs directly in your phone's browser, with no app download required.
Do I need to book a time in advance?
No. You can start whenever it suits you, with no advance coordination required, subject to the conditions of the location and route.
Do we have to play immediately after purchasing?
No. After purchasing, you will be taken directly to the game lobby, where you can decide whether to start immediately or play at a later time. If you decide to play later, the quest will be saved in the "My Games" section and will remain available to start for three months from the date of purchase.
Is the price per person or for the whole group?
The price covers the quest for the entire group. No need for other participants to pay separately.
How many people can participate?
The quests are generally recommended for groups of 2 to 6 participants, with up to 8 participants allowed.
Can we compete in several teams?
Yes. You can play together as one group or split into up to four competing teams.
How do we start playing?
After purchasing, you will be taken directly to the game lobby, where you can decide whether to start immediately or play at a later time. When you are ready to begin, arrive at the starting point, enter the game through the "My Games" section, share the game code with the other participants, and press Start.
Should we join as guests or sign in to an account?
Both options work, and the game code is all you need to join. However, a guest identity is saved only on the specific phone and browser where it was created. If the phone switches off, the browser data is deleted, or you want to change devices during the game, you will not be able to return as the same player. A player who is signed in can return to the game from any device at any time. Our recommendation is that everyone signs in. It only takes a few seconds and keeps your progress safe.
Does the game need access to my location?
Yes. GPS is part of the game. Your location is used to confirm that you have reached each station before the riddle opens. You will therefore need to allow location access in your browser and play outdoors, where the GPS signal works properly.
What should we bring?
A charged phone with an internet connection and comfortable walking shoes. That is all you need to head out on your quest.
How long does the quest take?
The duration varies between quests. Most routes take around 45 to 75 minutes. The exact duration and distance appear on each quest page.
What do we do if we get stuck on a riddle?
Each riddle includes two built-in hints that you can reveal. Each hint reduces your score slightly. If you still cannot solve the riddle, you can skip it, lose a few more points, and continue.
Can we stop halfway and continue later?
Yes. From the moment you start the quest, you have 24 hours to complete it. That gives you plenty of time to take a break, stop for coffee, and continue at your own pace.
Is the quest suitable for children?
Absolutely. The quests are also suitable for children and can be an especially enjoyable family experience. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied and closely supervised by a responsible adult throughout the entire quest.
Can we play in the evening?
Yes. You can start at a time that suits you, as long as the route conditions, lighting, and access to the locations are suitable for the time you have chosen.
What happens if the weather is unsuitable?
If you have not yet started the quest, you can simply choose another day during the three-month validity period. If you have already started and unexpected bad weather prevents you from continuing, contact us and we will try to help.
